Our story begins with our individual commitment to give back to the community we live in. When I was reaching the fag end of my long years in school and college and then research, I was horrified to note that despite the best efforts of literacy advocates, there had developed a very strong anti science community. The knowledge of the political existence of the creationism and thus anti evolutionary lobby dismayed me and thus galvanized me into searching for and subsequently joining any pro science advocacy organizations I could find.
In a few years, this lead me into a very close community that advocated for caring for our neighbors and the environment. I realized my calling lay in working in my local community for volunteer causes.
Little did I know, that being involved in the community would one day get me introduced to her.
Today Emily and I straddle our wide world views with our common interests in volunteering in our community especially around environmental restoration projects like Exploration Green.
